Augustin OLD is a very special horse. He is a son of August der Starke who successfully competes in international Grand Prix with Victoria Max-Theurer. He's a Mothers Day present and a love child: Sissy Max-Theurer wanted to have a foal by August out of her St.Pr.St. Weinrubina (by Rohdiamant), also known as "Wiener Mädel", and Weinrubina was covered naturally on Mothers Day of the year 1999. 

The spitting image of his sire when it comes to looks, character, quality of movement and rideability,  Augustin OLD fulfilled all our dreams for him long ago. In 2007 when he was seven years old he won the Nürnberg Burg Pokal, the unofficial championships for seven to nine year old young dressage horses. He also won the St. Georges Special qualifier in Munich/GER with more than 75 percent. "In my opinion, Augustin is by far the most outstanding youngster on the field," announced the judge, Dr. Dietrich Plewa, when the test was over. 
After winning nearly 20 classes in the international small tour, Augustin OLD made his debut in Grand Prix classes in 2008 – with a first place which gave him the right to enter international competitions. The next highlight was in 2009 when he took fifth place at the European Dressage Championships in Windsor/GBR. 

Just like his half-sister Sevilla OLD (by Sandro Hit), Augustin OLD has been accepted into the Oldenburg Verband's Sport Sponsorship Program. Sevilla MT OLD,  the 2^nd Reserve Champion Mare of the 2006 Oldenburg Elite Broodmare Show in Rastede, has meanwhile won medium (M) level tests for young dressage horses under Victoria Max-Theurer, including a qualifier for the  Bundeschampionat. Her full sister, St.Pr.A. Siena (by Sandro Hit), has now won novice (A) level tests for young dressage horses with Kira Wulferding. Augustin's full sister, St.Pr.St. Augustina, is now also a broodmare at Gestüt Vorwerk. 

Victoria Max-Theurer: "Augustin OLD always tries to do everything right. He loves his daily workout (but also likes to play the fool once in a while), is very ambitious and is really quite self-assured for his age. Nothing is safe from his mouth though – he chews up everything he can get a hold of such as bandages, stuffed crocodiles, whips and he especially likes the rear ends of bay horses. Just like a snake, he waits for the right moment and then he strikes."
